Taking place during the evening the school community is invited to Chestnutwold the Ary Gallery! Student work created in Art Class, Art Club, and Art in the Classroom is on display will you wander the school enjoying the enrichment of art in our students’ lives. Parent volunteers are needed to help direct families throughout the school and work at different stations.
Back To School Picnic
Families bring their blankets and dinner and join the whole school community for a night of dancing, playing, and getting to know their classmates.
Every Spring the PTO sponsors Running Clubs leading up to the 5K/1 Mile Chesnutwold Chase fundraiser. This is a great community event. Come out to run, cheer or volunteer!
Faculty Appreciation Luncheon
At the end of Teacher Appreciation week, this committee organizes a luncheon to thank our teachers and administrators for all the hard work they do. Volunteer opportunities include: donating food, setting up lunch, waiting on the teachers during the luncheon, and breaking down the meal. Lots of parent volunteers are needed and appreciated during this event!
Halloween Trunk or Treat
Trunk or Treat event in the Chesnutwold Parking lot where families sign up to decorate their car and pass out candy.
MLK Day of Service
We invite the school community to give their time and heed to call to offer service to our community. All participants must be accompanied by an adult. We will meet at the school and take a bus to Philly where we put together packages of food for those in need.
New Family Sponsor
Existing families will be matched with new families entering Chestnutwold. The existing families will give a folder of useful information and act as a guide to the new families welcoming them to our school. Also needed are volunteers to put these folders together and distribute them to our sponsor families.
Phoenix Fun Day & DANCe-a-thon
This day is one of the “givebacks” the PTO provides that takes place in the fall after school. The event includes a Dance-a-Thon fundraiser. This Phoenix Fun Day has games, moon bounces, face painting, a bake sale, Spiritwear sales, and pizza for sale. All members of the school community are welcome to join the fun! Parent volunteers are needed to help run games, chaperone the bounce houses, set up, breakdown, and work the bake table and pizza booth.
Open to all grades. This show will take place in the early spring. Students are invited to showcase their talents for the school community to enjoy. There will be a tryout, a dress rehearsal, and the show. The students are limited to 1 act, and the show will take place at either the Middle or High School. The Chair will convey all this pertinent info.
