There are many opportunities for parents to get involved at Chestnutwold either in the classroom, after school, and even at adult social events. Please take a moment to check out our volunteer sign-up. For many events we already have leads in place, we just need extra hands to help things run smoothly. Volunteering is a great way to be part of the fun while supporting our school community
Phoenix Fun Day

Phoenix Fun Day is a family-fun fundraising event featuring a giant inflatable slide, a DJ-led dance party, games, crafts, food, and more! PFD is a fun-filled evening of connecting with friends, new and old, and is not to be missed! This year will feature a basketball game, button-making machine, and exciting raffle baskets!
Phoenix Fun Day also serves as our biggest fundraiser of the year, paving the way for the PTO to fund many items and programs throughout the school year.
**This event is RAIN OR SHINE! In the event of inclement weather, much of the event will be located in the gym.
Alcohol is not permitted at this event.

Volunteer Fair & First PTO Meeting
Wednesday September 17th, at 7:00pm
Kick off the school year by learning more about how the PTO supports Chestnutwold! The evening will begin with our PTO General Meeting, where we’ll share this year’s budget, what the PTO helps purchase for the school, and upcoming initiatives. Afterward, explore the Volunteer Fair to discover opportunities to get involved with the programs and events that enrich our students’ experience.
***DOOR PRIZE!!!*** As As a special treat, Main Line Float & Freeze has generously donated a float gift card to promote the importance of parent wellness as we begin a new school year. Attendees will also receive a special discount code to use at their Ardmore location.

All School Welcome Back Picnic: Friday, September 6th from 6-8pm, on the Chestnutwold Fields.
Join us for Chestnutwold’s annual Welcome Back Picnic as we celebrate the start of a new school year. Bring your own picnic dinner and a blanket or chairs, and enjoy a relaxed evening on the Chestnutwold Fields. Children will have plenty of space to play, while families reconnect and meet new friends.
Owl’s Water Ice Truck will be on-site with treats available for purchase.

Kindergarten and New Families Popsicles on the Playground: Wednesday, August 27th, from 6-7:00pm, on the main Chestnutwold playground.
Kindergarteners, new students and their families are invited to a special welcome from our Principal with popsicles to follow. It’s a great time to mingle and meet other new students and families!
