Being a homeroom helper is a fun and low-pressure way to be involved in school.

A quick overview of homeroom helper duties:

  1.  Plan 4 classroom parties – Halloween, Winter Celebration, Valentine’s Day, and End of School

    1. “Party” can mean planning a game, a craft, reading a book, and/or asking other caregivers to donate a snack for the class.

    2. Older grade parties are partially organized by the teachers.

    3. Parties usually last around 1 hour.

    4. You don’t have to attend every party.  You can send the materials and ideas in with your student and other caregivers can help the teacher manage at the party.

  2. Collecting class gifts for the teacher during the winter holidays and end of year.

*We are asking that everyone Homeroom Helper sign up for just one classroom (we know, we know! it's hard to choose which of your children to volunteer for!), to allow for as many volunteers as possible. This helps keep our volunteer base large and our community strong. There are opportunities to volunteer at Homeroom Parties without being a Homeroom Helper, so you should get a chance to party with all of your kids throughout the year.
