I am looking forward to my first year on the PTO Executive Board as one of your Co-Presidents! During the 26-27 school year, all three of my children will be at Chestnutwold in Kindergarten, 2nd grade, and 5th grade. I’ve loved being involved as a homeroom helper, chairing Phoenix Fun Day, and volunteering for and attending all the great PTO sponsored events. Professionally, I am a former fourth-grade teacher, currently working in teacher education and coaching. Having been in many schools throughout my career, I can tell you that our Chestnutwold community is unique! I am very excited to play a larger role in the amazing things happening here.

Hi! I am looking forward to my second year on the PTO Executive Board and am happy to be on the team as Co-Treasurer. I have been an educator in the School District of Philadelphia for the last 20 years and most currently work as an ELA Academic Coach in a K-8 school. My children are in the 3rd and 5th grade at Chestnutwold, and in 6th grade at HMS. I and am thankful each day for the wonderful education and supportive community they are provided. I am excited to be a part of the PTO and give back to our amazing school!

This is my second year serving as Secretary for the PTO. My son will be in 4rd grade at Chestnutwold and my family and I love being part of this community. I grew up in Delaware County, spent nearly a decade in Brooklyn, and moved to Ardmore in 2020. Despite living in PA, my son and husband are still die-hard Yankees fans. Since my son started kindergarten at Chestnutwold, I’ve volunteered as a Homeroom Helper and spent the past two years leading the Art Club. Professionally, I’m a Director of Product Management at an education technology company, helping teams manage web content for university partners. I also served on the board of my company’s Parent and Caregiver Business Resource Network, advocating for working parents and caregivers. I look forward to contributing to Chestnutwold through the PTO and becoming even more involved in this wonderful community!

I am looking forward to my first year on the PTO board as VP of Clubs. I have 2 daughters, a 6th grade Chestnutwold grad, now at HMS, and a 1st grader who just started Chestnutwold this fall. I have been a regular volunteer at PTO events for several years, including leading Yoga and Newbery clubs and helping out with events like Young Writers Day and the Evening of the Arts. When not spending time with my kids, I am a Yoga Instructor at the Haverford YMCA and the Yoga Garden in Narberth. I love being a part of the Chestnutwold community and look forward to working to ensure that even more kids and families can benefit from the amazing work of the PTO!

Hi, my name is Katie Thompson - this is my first year serving as the VP of In School Activities. I have three kids - one going into 2nd grade at Chestnutwold this fall and two younger kids who will be at Chestnutwold in a few years. I have loved being part of the Chestnutwold community last year as a homeroom parent and a volunteer at several of the amazing events including Trunk or Treat and Evening of the Arts. My day job is working as a legal editor, and I've also done a lot of volunteer communications and social media work in the past few years for local organizations. I'm looking forward to getting more involved in the school community and helping with all the awesome work already being done by the PTO to make each school year better than ever for our kids.
