Exploring district 4th and 5th grade leveling in ELA -
What questions does this pose for parents?- Attendees gave the following feedback…
Q: Has this been decided? Can we have a say?
Q: What impact would this have on sixth grade classes?
Q: What do the 4th and 5th and 6th grade teachers think? Can they do this as effectively?
Q: Would kids still switch classrooms, what would that look like?
Q: When would this take place? How would this be phased in?
Q: What is the benefit for the students?
Q: What is the data that will be reflected in our classrooms?
Q: Would we be adding teachers to make smaller classes?
Q: Would this hurt push in services?
Q: Will there be an evaluation of this new program? How?
Q: Wit and Wisdom is so new, is it too early to throw in this change?
Q: What are LM and Radnor doing ? Other comparable districts?

Things at the Federal Level
Re:Closing the Department of Education
We get a little over 1% of our Budget (1.6 million) from the Federal Government
The losses would involve either/or/both raising taxes and reducing staff
The district's strategic plans are not changing
Renovations with other schools are moving along
Submitted Chatham park and Coopertown Solar proposal
Please feel free to email the School Board email concerning questions
IDC update
Confident in Dr Hayes and the future.
Next week we are discussing DEI, please submit questions
